Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition is a powerful pictorial history that chronicles the spiritual practice from its public introduction in 1992 through its persecution in China over the past two years. The images and text weave a remarkable story of spiritual awakening in the world's most populous nation. The pictures range from rare shots of founder Li Hongzhi lecturing in China to kaleidoscopic images of diverse people practicing around the world. A tale of both sorrow and celebration, the exhibit poetically depicts the beauty, courage, and power of the human spirit.

Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) is a traditional Chinese self-improvement practice consisting of gentle exercises, meditation, and moral teachings. The practice is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Falun Dafa is persecuted severely today in the People's Republic of China. Tens of thousands have been jailed, tortured, and forced into slave labor in a government campaign that seeks to eliminate Falun Dafa's 100 million adherents in China. Despite two years of persecution, however, practitioners in China have against all odds resisted and peacefully called for the restoration of their rights. Outside China, Falun Dafa has been embraced by a growing, diverse array of people in over 50 countries. Falun Dafa Photo Exhibition captures the humanity of this remarkable story.

Since the September 11th attacks, America has reflected on how precious freedom and liberty are, not only to this great nation, but to all of humankind. We understand now more than ever that our world needs peace, tolerance, and freedom. Amidst the worldwide fight against terrorism, this exhibition has received overwhelming positive feedback for its successful documentation of the Falun Dafa practitioners' nonviolent resistance, extraordinary courage and inner strength based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, through which they have been able to persevere in the face of widespread state terrorism.

This photo exhibition has been shown in many countries and regions including Canada, England, Germany, Belgium, Japan, Israel, Australia, Russia, Ukraine, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Within the United States, the exhibit has been shown at various places such as the Gallery Stendhal in Soho, NYC, Martin Luther King Library, Washington, DC, and Caltech, University of California. The most recent exhibit was showcased at the Great Rochester International Airport, sponsored by the government of Monroe County, New York.

We certainly hope you will join us for the opening reception of this extraordinary exhibition.
